rockets are one of the hardest pyrotechnics to make. to make a simple rocket you will need the following:
a cardboard tube
tape
powdered cat litter
black powder (10 grams)
charcoal (4 gams)
fuse
guide stick
tissue paper
hammer
dowel rod
drill
start by pouring the cat litter into the tube on a hard, flat surface. take the dowel rod and slide it into the tube and compress the cat litter with it, take the hammer and pount the dowel to compress the powdered cat little to a hard solid. now drill a 1/8 inch hole in the middle of the cat litter end. now stick a pieces of tissue paper in the end to no black powder/charcoal can fall out. now mix the black powder up with charcoal. pour this composition in the open end of the tube and compress it with the dowel. now put a wad of tissue paper in the open end and tape it up. now turn the tube upside down and pull the tissue paper out of the fuse hole drilled at the start, take the drill bit and put it in the fuse hole and slowly turn it round to create space for the fuse in the composition. take a length of fuse and put it in the hole until its into the black powder. to secure the fuse in the hole take a small strip of tissue paper and squa#*@! into the gap on the side of the fuse hole and fuse. now take the guide stick and tape it to the side of the bpack powder/charcoal filled tube. thats it. put the guide stick into a smooth insided tube and light fuse. see pictures for end result.
