This egg is a 10-step method of home treatment for acne. This is most effective if done right before your shower, but can be done at other times in the day too (i will explain later). I used it with OTC acne medicine, and the two worked very well. This is egg is for people who suffer from acne, and i put a reasonable amount of effort into making it, so dont rate it down simply because you cant/dont need to use it. If you think this is poorly made or just dont like me, rate it down all you want.
First off, i said treatment, not cure there is no cure for acne that works 100% of the time on 100% of the patients. Don’t expect this to be a miracle which gives you a perfectly clear face. It won’t. But it will help reduce the size of your outbreaks once they have occured.
This treatment requires that you have the following: 1. Baking Soda (not powder)
2. Water
3. Vinegar
To the people that will say "baking soda and vinegar make bubbles retard"- Putting baking soda on a pimple draws out the infection from it, which will reduce the swelling and size, and prevent more from growing at the same time. The vinegar is there to 1. make sure all the baking soda is gone, and 2. feel good and refreshing.
Steps to do this:
1. Measure 1 teaspoon of baking soda
2. Dump into container
3. Measure 20 ml of water
4. Pour into container with baking soda
5. Mix with your fingers until "pastey". You may have to add more water or baking soda to make it how you like.
Sorry, the picture didn’t come out right. Im sure you can figure it out.
6. Apply to face in areas with pimples.
7. Let sit for 30 seconds.
8. Re-apply another layer on top of old one.
9. Let sit for 1 minute.
10. Dip your fingers in vinegar and wash off baking soda. After that either get in the shower or thoroughly wash your face off.
Theres my 10-Step method to reducing facial acne. Feel free to try it out and rate how you like it. Give it 3-7 days of treatment to show its full effects though.
Some very effective types of OTC acne medicine are:
Benzoyl Peroxide (2.5%-5%) and
Salicylic Acid
Note: These are the active ingredients, not the brand names.

and your 100% sure this works :S god is it worth it lol?
It worked when acne was a problem for me, i dont see why it wouldn’t now. It takes under 3 minutes a day and helps clear up a lot your acne.. how isnt it worth it?

yeah.. they both work well, but if you are going to use them together use salicylic acid in the morning, and benzoyl peroxide in the evening before you go to bed. if you use them together your skin will get dry, red, and painful. It’s better to use benzoyl peroxide at night because you can get badly sunburnt on even partly cloudy days after you apply it to your face. While salicylic acid’s sun exposure risks are much less severe.
i meant to say first you say vinegar then you say water
yeah thats because first, you should wash it off with vinegar. Then either jump in the shower and it will wash off through your normal shower routine, or wash off whats left from the vinegar and baking soda off with water from a sink.

Aug 17, 2006 12:20 pm - Works just like described, I did this for about 4 days and I definitly noticed a difference, makes the areas less red so its not as visible. I recommend what Infectious-MD said, do this before taking a shower. Great Egg!
Sep 22, 2006 10:24 pm - take a picture of a pimply nerd for before (why not one of me?) and one of a female supermodel as after.
mix some sodium peroxide and benzoyl chloride to make benxoyl peroxide and salt. then dilute the benzoyl down to 2.5% in some kind of cream (maybe sorbelene) use a little at first to build up tolerance to the b.p., then use more.
