Ok, so this is how to make a timed igniter.
Materials:
1. Some knowledge about electronics.
2. Hack saw
3. Wire cutters
4. Torx’s 10 screw driver
5. A small Phillips screwdriver
6. A Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner (a.k.a shower cleaner)
Ok start out with your shower cleaner and flip it over to the bottom. There you will see some screw holes. Use your torx’s 10 screwdriver to unscrew them.
Ok so turn it so you can see the bottom.
Unscrewed all 6 screws, then pull the bottom out. Just take out every thing. There are 2 or so tubes that you need to either cut out or just pull out. (How ever many tubes differs from model to model)
Once you have it all out then you should have this. The motor and the liquid injector mount are screwed in with 4 or 5 Philips screws. Just unscrew them and pull it off. Also cut the wires from the motor, make sure you cut them at the motor. You will need these wires long. (The red line and arrow is where you need to cut with the hack saw, the black is where you cut the wires)
This is what it should look like when you’re done cutting.
And this is what it all looks like.
This is how the battery pack should look.
Then you’re done! Put in 4 AA batteries, and hook up to what ever. You can either make an igniter your self or just go to hobby town to get a model rocket igniter. *also you could use the open copper wire circuit method, but the model rocket igniter works that best*
Just hook up to a fuse and hit the button. You have about 10 or so seconds before this goes off.
Warnings and cautions:
1. Yes this is water proof, just make sure you seal off any extra circuits you choose to add on
2. Do not add any more power to this, if you want to add more then you will have to change the capacitor in the back and change a few resistors.
Ps. Sorry for the shitty pictures.
working on a vid. ill post it later.
