Ok in this egg I am going to show you how to set up a slackline.http://rotteneggs.com/r3/show/se/201609.htmlRead to find out what slacklining is. There are many different ways of doing this but this one works for me.
First you are going to need 2 climbing carabineers. I have black diamond ones.

Next you are going to need a tie down ratchet with the 2 hooks on the ends.

And last you are going to need is 50 feet of nylon webbing that is 1 inch thick

And 2 trees that are about 20-30 feet apart.
Now you are going to need to know how to tie the knot.
Ok first put it across you hand bottom left to top right. Pick a side to always keep up. Mine is the dotted side. MAKE SURE IT IS FACED UP!

Then loop it around you hand to form like one of those ribbons.

The next part is the trickiest. Grab the right end of the ribbon and go 5 inches out and then push it up and bring it to the back kind of like forming a bow tie.

Watch the video and hopefully it helps.

When you get the bowtie part you want the side you chose up, mine is the dashed side. So you are going to have to twist it one time to the right and it will be straight. Watch the last part of the video.

Next slide a carabineer through the 2 loops make sure the rope comes off straight.

Tighten it so it looks like this

Ok now that you know how to tie the knot tie one at the end of one side of the rope. Again making sure that the dotted, or whatever you chose, is on top.

Next find your tree and loop the rope around it making sure that the dotted side remains up around the tree.

When it is all the way around the tree Clip the line that is going to the other tree though the carabineer and like smash it so that when tight, the line, comes off straight.

Next take the line in your hands and walk toward the other tree making sure that the dotted side, or whatever yours is, is up.

Then tie the knot again and put another carabineer on it about 4 feet to the tree. Ok now it is time to get your racket. Put the line that isn’t connected to the ratchet but has a hook on it on your carabineer with the hook facing up like so. Again making sure the ratchet line does not twist while going around the tree.

Now grab the ratchet and the hook and put it on the carabineer again with the hook facing up.
Next take the end of the hook line, the one w/out the ratchet attached, and string it thought the middle part on the racket.

Next pull as hard as you can!

When you are pulling with one hand start to ratchet it. Keep the line that you are ratcheting straight so it doesn’t twist in the ratchet.
And then just keep on doing it until it is as tight as you can get it.

When you are done make sure the ratchet is locked. It will look like this.

And the side will look like this.

And the other side looks like this.

It is important that your line is straight it should look like this.

Slacklining takes practice and patience. So stick with it and you will get it.
