Jul 22, 2008 1:43 am - The Dark Knight Review So here is my review on The Dark Knight. Just a big Batman fan giving his opinion, so here we go :)
Ok. Wow. This was both the most intense Batman film, as well as the most complex, dark, and serious. It has the most anarchic, twisted villain I have ever seen in a film, as well as the most conflicted Hero in a super hero film.
Actually, I can’t really call this a super hero film. In fact, the only similarity to the genre is the superhero suit he wears. No, this is a crime drama. A movie not intended for children. A movie that doesn’t say: "I’m a superhero movie! Look at the ridiculous plot a villains I have in store!!"
This movie carried itself on its story, not its premise. And furthermore, it redefined many characters we knew from the previous films. The Joker, played by Heath Ledger, is by far my favorite Joker. Sure, Mark Hamil was great in the Animated Series, but he simply wouldn’t do in this dark crime Noir.
I mean, this Joker doesn’t laugh as much, but he has his absolutely hilarious moments, such as the "magic trick" he preforms for the Mobsters.
And then there was Two-Face. Ok, just to put this into prespective, I want you to look at Batman Forever. Look at that Two-Face. Now look at this one.
Wow.
This movie takes it’s time to masterly develop characters, like a good movie should. And unlike Spiderman 3, it is not squeezed in an gratuitous. And that goes for the entire film. It’s an emotional rollercoaster as well as a thrilling action Epic.
Another reason this film rocks is because it improves on Batman Begins. Don’t get me wrong, I liked that one a lot, but the action scenes were terrible. All choppy and unwatchable, TDK fixes that and many other technical eye-sores.

"Banana Smoothie" wasn’t even that good. When I made it, I ended up adding ice cream so it wouldn’t taste like ass.

To date, GMT has over 100 pickpocket eggs. At the same time, I have 1 blog post about an experience.
Not to say that everyone should rate down GMT. God no, I love that guy. What I’m saying is: In the future, RE members, try to make rational decisions on who to shun. You might just scare away a member who would have contributed a lot.

Wow yesterday I finally lifted a wallet after working up the courage for weeks.
So I was at a grocery store at 9 in the morning, about to buy some tasty nesquik when I saw a lady pushing a cart with a purse in it. Usually I would pussy out around this point but NOOO I followed her until she finally turned her head. I brushed by, pulling the wallet out of her purse.
I was freakin’ shaking as I looked through it in another isle. Turns out this chick was mexican, because there were pesos XP It’s ok though, she had 600 pesos in notes, which is worth about 60 dollars. I just have to go to a bank and exchange it.
I felt bad because her wallet had every piece of identity she owned. Drivers Lisence, Credit Card, Debit Card, Social Security Card, Library Card. So after I bagged the cash, I followed her to the register (discreetly) and dropped the wallet next to her. Then I left.

But when I got caught at Wal-Mart earlier, the dumb fuck manager sat me down and gave me this big ass scenario about how if I steal from them, then I myself am screwing up the economy where I live and I’ll be the reason for higher gas prices because the store will then have to make up for the lost income. It was so hard not to just look the idiot in the face and laugh at him.

I have never condoned stealing items from people or stores; but, I do enjoy figuring out how to do it on a theoretical level. As far as the piracy is concerned: you got me on that one. Red handed.
Honestly, though, there is a difference between making a copy of, say, Janis Joplin’s music and stealing someone’s food money. First, Janis is dead but even if she wasn’t I’m not directly stealing someone’s food money. That’s what I have a problem with. So, feel free to zero star my profile for piracy. I probably deserve it.
