I see so many scam and theft eggs. Mostly recycled crap ideas. I mean, really, if it works, why would you tell everyone and give the "secret" away? Do you want to get caught? Are you hoping people will think you are cool for your ideas?

Some of you haven’t figured it out yet so I will help you. It seems many of you spend hour after hour dreaming up Wile E. Coyote schemes to get less than $25 of crap through the door of a store. Or how to dip single mother’s wallet at the grocery store.

Do you realize you’re risking a criminal record, your reputation and possibly embarrassment (if you feel that emotion) and all for the sake of piddly little trinkets? Even a juvenile record can follow you into adulthood and affect the type of job you can get. Most potential employers will do a criminal records search and will not hire you with a theft in your history. Especially professional jobs. You could spend 10 years getting your Phd and still a company won’t hire you for a measly petty theft history because they cannot trust you.

Be smart. Spend that brain power on ways to create a legitimate business idea and then start a corporation. Corporations are a legal entity in and of themselves. In other words: that corporation can do things and it doesn’t affect you personally. For example, even though you will go to jail and ruin your reputation and record for stealing the latest Barry Manilow CD, Circuit City, Best Buy and CompUSA can fail to pay millions of dollars to customers for rebates even though the customer jumped through all the correct hoops. Criminal charges will NEVER be filed. When you are a corporation and you steal, it becomes a civil matter. Odds are, the corporation won’t get a lawsuit and if they do, they settle for a fraction of whatever they stole (millions). It doesn’t affect anyone’s personal record.

As an added bonus, once you get that business off the ground, you may find you won’t need to steal. :P

This egg was brought to you by the Letter C and the Number 25. Leave donations in the basket on your way out. Oh, and I rule the Universe. That is all.

I don’t agree with you at all, but I’m not going to bash you or give you a crap rating.

in its 5 year of existence, wal-mart grossed in the trillions of dollars (35 i beleive) more than IBM, HP, Microsoft, and Dell combined.

people stealing from corporations are just a drop in the bucket and its the peoples job to to recoup the 420,700$ that a 200 employee wal-mart takes in for taxes per year.

People don’t have to shop at walmart. How do you figure they’re stealing? They’re just good at business. Maybe one day I’ll do an egg on the secret success behind walmart’s business practices. They do some interesting things.

And why wouldn’t you agree with me that my method is better? Why steal $25 when you can steal millions and NEVER RISK JAIL?

I noticed the implication of me...

Wow good egg. What’s interesting is I just read "Rich Dad Poor Dad" (which talks about Corporations) and I agree.

I’ve decided to put my pickpocketing ways behind me and focus on my asset column =]

5*

wal-mart tracks people in with low prices, sell things at cost, and then bait you with other products in the area that are usually more expensive than the competitor.

the CLASSIC bait and switch.

there is pure risk in all things, money is completely material as are the objects that we buy with them or that we sell them for.

Wal-mart is supporting communist china and DESTROYING small business, nuff said. I’m not going to say anything more here, nothing against you, im just tired.

Listen to the man, he’s right.
I’ve been trying for months to find a new job, but in such a small town, everyone knows of me getting fired for stealing, so no one will hire me. It sucks, yes.

fair enough point about it being pointless stesling little things but setting up a business cost lots of money and something like 90% (correct me if im wrong)of all start ups go into liquidation within their first year so if you actually did this youd probably end up losing loads of money.
3 stars anyway..

Right... Gimp I thought you were smarter than this. Has anone heard of ENRON? to think that you cannot be held accountable for your actions just because you are hidden behind the cloak of a corporation is complete bullshit. You can get jailtime and corporation or not stealing is illegal.

The_Gimp

Jul 28, 2008 5:04 pm -
Enron execs got in trouble for inflating their stock rates. That is off limits but other grey areas are not. Look at CompUSA... they received a class action suit for failing to give rebates to consumers who properly filled them out (false advertising). Name one executive (or person in the company) that received jail time for that practice. They stole millions from their customers.
