This egg is going to show you how to make your own cursors from your own graphics.
Although there are plenty of ways of doing this, this is one way i know, and it’s what i use.
Things you will need: - Internet
- About 15 minutes
- Graphic/Photo Editing Software/Paint
Step 1: Graphic First, you need make your graphic.
I’m going to make mine on Photoshop:
Save it as a .png file.
Step 2: Setup Next, Install CursorXP, then open the configuration.
Under "Theme" click the down arrow and choose "New Theme"
Make sure you’re on the "Normal Select" cursor.
Click on "Configure" to where the button is pushed down.
Then, click on "Configure" in the bottom right.
Under this panel, it should be defaulted to "Standard cursor"
Change this to "Enhanced cursor"
Now click the "Import" button, and choose your .png graphic.
Then press OK.
Step 3: Click Point Now, make sure that the cross hairs on the configure panel for your cursor are where you want the cursor to CLICK.
(Like the point of the default pointer)
I moved the cursor up and to the left on this picture to show you what it looks like.
Step 4: Saving Next, "Save As" and don’t change the folder, just save it as a de5criptive name.
Press OK.
Step 5: Applying Finally, for the version i have supplied, to make the cursor switch from default to the one you made, the hot key is "CTRL+Shift+C"
Also, this program doesn’t run in the background or anything, which is great.
Here is the result:
(It ended up kind of big).
Step 6: Continuing So now that you have your normal pointer changed, you can continue with the Waiting, Busy, Hand, etc. cursors. (Shown Above).
There’s how to customize the cursors on your machine!
Thanks for reading.
Feedback, please.
