or all of you that like my 1st post but want a more detailed decription on how to make one of my darts, or just have 30 minnutes to spare.
Materials:
1 medium-sized fishhook
2 pliers (or your hands)
skissors
lighter
tape (dont really need this)
fly tying thred (or some crappy normal thead)
a feather (or some string)
lead wire (need this for it to be good)
fly tying glue (or super glue)
Procedure:
1) get a fish hook
2) heat it up until its red hot
3) straiten it with plyers (just keep trying) and wrap the lead wire around the middle
4) cut all the fluffly stuff off of a feather
5) wrap your thread around the lead weight and the hook to secure the weight, then put the feathers on and wrap around a couple times tightly.
6) tie some knots, cut it, and put glue all over the part you wraped (very very little amount)
7) wrap tape backwards around a pincil (so it dosent stick) take it off and thread the hook thought it (this will make the end esier to cut)
8) kool
this is probly the most dangrus thing you can soot out of a bic pen but it is desinged for a bb gun. youll probly want a small screwdriver around to put the dart in because the feathers arnt strong enoufg to push the
dart all the way in.
i wouldent recomend shooting this at someone as a joke because i shot it at tolit paper, all you could see was a little fluffy part sticking out, and it riped everything up when i pulled it out... but if it isnt a joke, try dipping it in a water/salt(or something) paste and letting it dry. the 1st one i made i used twice as much weight and the hook is still in my wall.

Jan 28, 2005 6:34 am - I jusy tryed this but it did not work out for me that well.I found bending the metal was the hardest part but i could not succesfully make a blowdart anyway, the only thing i am missing is the fluffy feather stuff.Once i have this i can continue making it, it is also really hard to bend big hooks and i also tryed this but it snapped twice and i gave up, then i worked on a little hook and it bended like playdo.
Jan 28, 2005 11:45 am - you cant bend the hook by the point, you have to bend it as close to the tip as you can but w/o touching it, (most fish hooks have the really small barb faceing backwards and thats the weakest point)
Apr 30, 2005 12:31 am - modern day pillows have foam inside, if it had feathers inside you would be really pissed, because i slept on one of those before, and the little hard boney part comes through the pillow and pokes you in the eye.
Jul 27, 2005 12:07 am - oh yea, if you want to shoot it out of a bic pen, use about 1/3 of the weight... you still need a little bit though or else itl be like all the other crappy ones.
Nov 05, 2005 8:39 am - Holy sweet hell!!!!! This will go awesome with my bb gun. 1 Questin though do they shoot out of the bb hand guns?? Cos thats all i have and theres a lllloooooottttttt of anoyying rats around my house. But I’m going to leave a few of them alive, got an idea from this rat egg... got a good way to make money off it. The best thing is (if i have the time and enough feathers...) I can make well around 30 of these, and they can differ in sizes and points. mwuahahahahahahahahahahah hahaahahhaha
