I’ms getting surgery in the mornings tomorrows.
I will have possiblitly skin cancer removed.
I will ask for many varieties of pain relieve even though it most likely will require none to very none.

My Dad just had surgery for lung cancer like 3 days ago.
He gets morphine the 5 days for recovery then a Vicodin pre5cription.

Whenever we visit him he’s all fucked up on morphine.
It’s kind of funny.

Got one removed, he was all, "Yo holmes, you’re white, and ima let you finish, but black peoples have the greatest tolerence to skin cancers ever"
He then proceded to tell me he wanted to remove 6 freckle like spots, giving two injections per spot, using so god damn much local anesthetic that i had bubbles of it pooling and blistering up under my skin.
Its leaking blood, and I can’t lay down (3 on chest, 3 on back)
And I got a free sandwich made by the nurses, which was the best part of my day.
Pain meds are depleted. God help me.

Well, this was meant to last for 2 days, enough for the pain to be nearly gone, but I used it in a few hours. That was so great.
I can lay on my side, its the only way, but it still exerts pressure onto the wounds.
I think I’ve popped a stitch, its bleeding constantly (in a controlled manner) and it hurts like a bitch.
He told me it would feel like ’getting a cut on your hand or something’.

Shit dude, that does suck. Glad they got them off though before it progressed into something serious!
The only advice I can give on how to sleep when it’s damn-near impossible to find a comfortable position (coming from a man with plenty of experience!)...
...is to deprive yourself of sleep until exhaustion takes over and you just pass out from it without even realising you’ve gone to sleep. My routine was to stay awake for 2-3 days and then sleep for about 12-15 hours, rinse and repeat.
Of course, if you can get some "medicinal" marijuana, this can help the cause! (Maye it’s just me but I quite often fall asleep after a good smoke.)
I lol’d at the "and ima let you finish," and also, that’s pretty sick about the fluid pockets/blisters under your skin. I hate that!

I tried to smoke some weed, but it somehow made it worse. It was like I could feel the pressure of each heart beat trying to pop out of the recently sealed wounds.
Whisky, I find, works best. And I’m trying the sleep dep thing, seeing as I stayed up all night playing guitar due to the whole, can’t get comfortable thing. The nice thing about this, though, is in another day or so It’ll be nearly painless. Self dissolving stitches also mean I don’t need to rip little bits of string out of my chest and back.
