I remember seeing a documentary on this when I was a kid--this was back when they thought these lions were killing "hundreds" of people. It scared the ever-living piss out of me and made me have bad dreams for years afterwards.

Now they’ve found through research that the two lions only killed (and ate!) about 35 people.

Still impressive, in my opinion! (What can I say? I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for carnivores...)

What freaks me out about that article is that they can tell 100 years later what something mostly ate throughout its life.
