i’m starting to get into j-rock. most j-rock band’s are better than a lot of the bands on mtv (if they even play music any more) vh1 and a small fraction of fuse wat is ur opion also listen to huruka kanta by Asian kung fu generation it’s awsome.

As far as I know, J-rock is a wigger from Sunnyvale Trailer Park in Canada on the hit mockumentary tv show Trailer Park Boyz! The show rules, and so does J-rock. Know wut am sayin’?

I’m assuming the "J" stand for Japanese (as in J-pop and such). And no, I have no desire to listen to such music.

j-rock is japanese rocknroll it has a western punk and alternitive sound mixed with japanese indie. the lyrics can be at times deep or emotional but the good kind of deep and emotional like nirvana was. the songs are fast pace and often diverse sound wise. this is how i describe j-rock but to jugde you need to hear it the song i reconmended is about 3-5 min long listen to it on you tube or some thing what do you have to loose?

Worth a listen imo, I’ve heard and liked similar stuff. Was probably the same band, I heard it from a friend who’s into all the anime stuff and I guess that’s where he got it. I liked it when I first heard it, but totally forgot about it and didnt know what you would call it. So thanks, I think I will be doing a bit of listening and downloading of this sort of thing, I like it!

not bad.
It kinda reminded me of a mix of punk,rock and roller skating music.

i know tommy boy it’s got a punkish alternitive sound. i heard j-rock is gainig popularity in the west coast through imagrints from asia and anime.
i think j-rock will be the next big thing in rocknroll and will give musicans like the jonas brothers some compettion.

it varys some have a mix of english most are jap lyrics but there are transltions in lyric sites that have j-rock it takes time to get used too. if you google enough you can find translation’s i think it still beats most current popular bands controling the scene like emo music and pop rock.

I clicked through and listened to most of the ones available on the first page results on youtube. I didnt find the one my friend used to play but I’m guessing it’s the same band as he most likely got it from bleach (he’s obsessed!) and they seem to have done some stuff for bleach, and the songs have a similar sound.
I think I’ll be torrenting them next time I go on a torrent quest!
