RE is really starting to fall through. It’s slow as shit, and when I try to post, it will only finish loading and post my comment maybe 50% of the time. I get redirected all the time, and the talking ads are really fucking annoying.
Anybody else notice how much shittier it’s been than usual?

Last night it was pretty wild. Every time I would click on anything on the site I got a redirect and would have to use the task manager to shut my browser down. I was trying to post in GD and had to type my post in word processing (and post it REALLY FAST) because my browser kept fucking up. I figured it was just a 5cript kiddie taking advantage of it being a slow night or something.
At least I’m not getting that loud ass "CONGRATULATIONS! YOU’VE WON!!" ad anymore. (I mean, yeah, I AM a winner! But I don’t need the constant remindrs.) xoxo

Please start using Firefox and download Adblock Plus. This has never happened to me since I did those two things. IE sucks ass on this site (and most others). The only time I use IE is when I find a shitty site that doesn’t support Firefox.

Do what the other folks suggested and download FF.
I use to have those problems too but not anymore
since I switched to FF.
FF is a must for RE users.

I have been using FF since 2004. The only time I use IE is for work--some employers are contracted with Microsoft.
The thing that really amazes me is that with this current account I have donated money to this site (not once but several times). When one does that, one is not supposed to get the ads any longer--but I still do.
Since it’s Rotteneggs.com I am SO not surprised. I could turn on Adblock but why should I? as a donator I should not have to worry about redirects and ads.
C’mon you guys, just admit it! S_cript kiddies dominate this site. It’s so not a big deal. I still like RE anyway. xoxoxo

When I was admin I didn’t get any ads. Then when I deleted weasel they came back. I don’t understand.

You can still download FF to use when you come to RE
and still use whatever else you want to use on other sites.
Thats what I do.

Even on my Pentium II rustbucket with Windows 98, the ads don’t get through. Download a Hosts file and install it. As far as I know, that’s sort of how Ad Block Plus filters out the shit.
