I am not disappointed at all. Lots of new, and useful innovations make this the most convenient, easy to use, and simply best Photoshop of all.
Why?
First of all, the GUI is highly customizable. Maybe you want the Layers tab more easily accesible. Instead of the small applet, you can have an icon for it, allowing quick access if you’re tyrying to move fast. Everything is nice and planned out, making it very easy to work with.
Second, if you have a Smart Object (can easily be convereted), you can have Filters act like Blending Options. They group right under the layer, and even after being applied, you can edit them. You can also change in what order you want them to be applied.
Say you apply a Gaussian Blur, and then Watercolor. However, the Blue is too much, and you want it to be applied after the Watercolor. Just double click, change th amount, and then drag it above Watercolors, so it’ll be less, and be applied after Watercolors.
You can also change the opacity of a filter, through a simple menu. Not only the opcaity, but also the Blending Mode can be changed with the push of a button.
All of the tools have more features, yet become even easier to use.
3. Install, and then run CS3. Put in the serial key you obtained from the site (where you put in a serial from CS2), and there you have it!
4. (Optional) If you’re a pussy, and don’t want to break the law, you can still have CS3 as a 30 day free trial.
Anyways, let me remind you that this is merely a Beta version. There are still many features to be perfected, and released. Let alone the coding. They started from scratch on this one, re-writing it in X-Code.
There are bugs and glitches, but this is always so in Beta version.
I hear that the final release will be in Quarter 2 of 2007.
I know I’ll be one of the first to DL it (illegally of course!).
